Home Services

Our award-winning Home Improvement Agency (HIA) services deliver bespoke home improvement solutions to help you live more independently in your home.

Accessing our service

In most cases you will be referred to us via your local authority, social care or the NHS. An experienced technical caseworker will discuss with you how we can adapt your home to support your independence and agree plans for any changes and installations.

For major adaptations, such as accessing your home, installing new accessible bathrooms, stairlifts or other adaptations and alterations your dedicated case worker will manage the works and provide support.

All handyperson services will be completed by an experienced handyperson. For minor adaptations, a fully trained and qualified technician will install bespoke minor adaptations for (steps, ramps, rails) at a time convenient to you.

Our local Home Improvement Agency Services are located in Dorset, East Surrey, Hackney and Worcester.

Our Stairlift and Ceiling Track Hoist Service is located in Abingdon, Oxford.

We're here to support you

We can offer you support in a number of ways:

  • Helping you settle back into your home after time spent in hospital or a care setting.
  • Providing a caseworker to help you get a grant or equity release.
  • Helping with your Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) application, including designing a schedule of works, appointing contractors and managing works until completion.

To discuss the options available to you, contact your local HIA.

Self-funded home adaptations

We recognise that some customers will not qualify for Local Authority funded grants and may wish to follow the self-funded path for home adaptations. Therefore, to ensure we support everyone with their desire to stay in the home for longer, we also offer a self-pay service for home adaptations from our Adaptive Home Solutions (AHS) service.

“Bernie the contractor that came and completed the work at my home was a fantastic communicator, very friendy and approachable. The work he carried out was done to a professional standard and I was very pleased with it. I feel a lot safer navigating around my home now. Thank you.”
