As a Field Service Engineer, I deliver, repair and service powered and manual wheelchairs for service users' often in their own homes. You’re always appreciated by service users. They’re lovely to work with and you can tell you’re making a big difference.
The role is different to that of a workshop engineer as I’m out on road visiting service users, although I still work closely with workshop engineers and clinicians.
I’m also part of an on-call rota and occasionally have urgent repairs to carry out in the evening or at the weekend but you’re paid extra for being on call.
