Local residents had the honour of meeting Peter Hull MBE, when he opened a new Millbrook Healthcare community equipment shop in Southampton earlier today.

Peter Hull MBE was joined by Paul Frampton from Southampton City Council and Phillip Campling from Millbrook Healthcare to open a new retail shop, which serves the local community, selling equipment to assist and aid independent living.

The shop, which is a first for the community, is now open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm and offers free parking and free disabled parking. It’s located in Bitterne, just off Bitterne Road West in the Centurion Business Park.

Paul Frampton, Southampton City Council/Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group said: “I’m really pleased to be able to offer a service like this to local residents in and around the local area. Ensuring that we offer items to help people live independently at home is really important to us and I’m proud to be a part of this service.”

Phillip Campling, Managing Director for Millbrook Healthcare said: “Working closely with local commissioners and Southampton’s community is incredibly important to us and I’m really pleased to be able to offer this additional service throughout the city and beyond.”

An array of aids and equipment can be found in the retail centre, suitable for children and adults, including equipment to prevent falls and pressure sores.
