Celebrating the dedication of Millbrook Healthcare employees

At Millbrook Healthcare, our people are at the heart of everything we do, committed to compassionate care and delivering on our promises. Each month we celebrate individuals who make a real difference with an “Employee of the Month” scheme. Below, we’re sharing a few stories from recent months that showcase the remarkable commitment of our team.

Congratulations to Liz, Paul, Trevor, Molly and Lucy for your well-deserved recognition.

Liz
Telecare Engineer, Livity Life

Liz’s outstanding reputation for customer service is well-earned, as evidenced by the glowing feedback she regularly receives. In June, four service users reached out to commend her work, illustrating the profound impact she has. One user shared, “Liz was absolutely fantastic… this has given [us] complete peace of mind,” highlighting her empathetic approach that fosters confidence and ease in challenging times. Another noted how Liz’s engaging interaction with their son, who has autism, created a comfortable environment. Beyond her technical role, Liz is always ready to lend a hand – whether addressing emergency calls or offering to clean and maintain equipment. Her cheerful presence and willingness to go the extra mile brighten the workplace and uplift those around her.

Paul
Community Equipment Technician, East Sussex

Paul’s story is a powerful example of vigilance and care. While delivering equipment, Paul noticed that a service user appeared unwell. Acting quickly, he ensured entry to the property, provided immediate assistance, and contacted a relative to take over. His attentiveness and initiative may have prevented a serious outcome, and thanks to his swift actions, the service user was safely transported to the hospital and has since recovered. The family expressed their heartfelt thanks, recognizing Paul’s professionalism and compassion in a critical moment.

Trevor
Ceiling Track Hoist Technician

Trevor’s dedication shines through in the story of a challenging repair he undertook. When a crucial ceiling hoist became obsolete, with no spare parts available, Trevor refused to accept defeat. Using his skills and resources, he repaired the malfunctioning PCB himself after the manufacturer advised scrapping the unit. His commitment not only saved the service user from a distressing situation but also restored their quality of life. This initiative exemplifies Millbrook’s promise to find solutions where others see obstacles.

Molly
Technical Caseworker, Worcestershire HIA

Molly’s expertise and leadership have been instrumental in advancing the efficiency of the Home Improvement Agency (HIA) service. Despite her significant caseload, she recently led training sessions for the East Surrey team, sharing her deep knowledge of the Case Manager system. Molly’s dual commitment to her own work and supporting others has enabled smoother operations and enhanced the team’s confidence in handling complex cases. Her dedication underscores the spirit of teamwork and growth that Millbrook values.

Lucy
Accounts Payable Administrator

Lucy stands out as a true team player, always ready to assist and motivate others. She combines technical skill with a caring approach, ensuring that payment and invoice queries are resolved swiftly. This not only keeps the supply chain moving smoothly but also contributes to seamless service for users. Recently, Lucy has expanded her responsibilities, learning new aspects such as credit control and payment processing, which she has handled adeptly. Her cheerful demeanour and proactive support create a positive ripple effect throughout the team and among service users.
