At Millbrook Healthcare, care is more than what we do, it’s who we are. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’ve signed the Age-friendly Employer Pledge: a nationwide programme led by the Centre for Ageing Better. This pledge represents our commitment to fostering a workplace that values the experience, contribution, and potential of workers aged 50 and over.
By signing the pledge as an Age-friendly Employer, we’re taking tangible steps to enhance our recruitment, retention, and development practices for older employees. It’s a pledge that supports our mission to enable individuals to live better, safer, more independent lives, starting with our own people.
We know that multigenerational workforces bring diversity of thought, increased innovation, and a stronger connection to the communities we serve. In 2024 alone, we welcomed 118 new team members, 58 of whom were aged 50 and above. This isn’t just a statistic; it’s a testament to our belief that ambition doesn’t end at a specific age, and that lived experience enriches the services we provide.
Joining this pledge is also a promise to do more. We are committed to ensuring all employees – regardless of age – have equal access to training and development opportunities. Every Millbrook employee deserves the tools and support to reach their full potential.
