Mobility2You

Millbrook Healthcare and Mobility2You partner to improve access to independent living equipment and support

Millbrook Healthcare has partnered with Mobility2You to create a smarter, more accessible way for people who are funding their own care to access assessments and purchase the equipment they need to live safely and independently at home.

By bringing together Millbrook’s clinical expertise with Mobility2You’s trusted national pharmacy network, this partnership offers a new model for independent living support – giving people more choice in how they are assessed and better access to equipment that meets their needs.

Simple assessments, trusted advice

People can now complete an Independent Living Risk Assessment in the way that suits them:

  • Online, using Millbrook Healthcare’s self-assessment tool.
  • In person, at over 400 Mobility2You pharmacies, where trained pharmacy staff provide face-to-face guidance in trusted, community-based settings.

Pharmacists already play a vital role in people’s everyday health. They understand medications, long-term conditions, and often know their customers personally. This makes them ideally placed to offer advice on mobility and independent living – particularly after hospital stays or life changes.

Unlike completing a form alone, visiting a pharmacy offers a chance to speak to someone who understands your health and environment. This support often includes family members, who are frequently involved in assessments and decision-making. Pharmacists can also help with any next steps or forms.

Supporting self-funders and their families

This approach supports self-funding individuals and their families – a group often underserved or unsure where to turn for clinical advice.

Every part of the journey, whether online or in person, is shaped by clinical expertise and practical support. The result is clarity, confidence, and control at every step.

All retail now delivered by Mobility2You

As part of the partnership, all retail provision for self-funders will transition fully to Mobility2You – including:

  • Online retail.
  • Management of Millbrook Healthcare’s retail store in Failsworth.
  • Activation across Mobility2You pharmacies, aligned with Millbrook’s Community Equipment Service (CES) contracts.

Mobility2You will manage the complete retail journey, helping people access, choose, and purchase the equipment they need after assessment.

Launching in Manchester and expanding nationally

The service has launched in Manchester, with rollout across other Millbrook CES areas in the coming months.

This partnership marks an important step in our mission to help more people live safely, independently and with dignity — through trusted, community-based care and retail support.

We’re building a future where:

  • People can choose how and where they are assessed.
  • Advice comes from trusted, clinical experts.
  • Equipment is accessible, appropriate, and easy to purchase.
  • Communities are supported by joined-up services that meet people where they are.
