3rd August 2025
In light of the recent closure of NRS Healthcare, we have been approached by several Local Authorities affected to step in and provide emergency support.
We are working hard to deliver a smooth and sensitive transition of services to Millbrook Healthcare, but the forced quick pace of this change will inevitably cause some challenges. Our priority is to minimise disruption to service users who need urgent support, while scaling up our operations to meet the increased demand.
Over the last few days, we have:
- Taken on as permanent employees, under TUPE, several hundred people who previously worked for NRS, and welcomed them as valued colleagues into the Millbrook Healthcare community.
- Placed large orders with equipment suppliers.
- Secured communication channels so that calls and emails are directed to Millbrook Healthcare. Please see the Service Centre listing on this website for contact numbers/email addresses for the new areas we serve.
- Configured our own IT systems to take on this activity and work with thousands of new prescribers and occupational therapists.
- Added over one hundred vehicles to our fleet – and are in the process of securing additional vehicles.
- Secured emergency warehouse and office facilities and configured new IT equipment.
- Launched emergency call-out cover from 6pm on Thursday 31st July.
With over 30 years of experience supporting communities across the UK, Millbrook Healthcare is well-positioned to fill this gap with the professionalism, care, and efficiency that define our service. We put Service Users at the heart of everything we do.
We understand the uncertainty that change can bring and we are doing all we can to mitigate the inevitable disruption from a failure of a major service provider. We remain dedicated to helping people live independently, safely, and with dignity in our communities.
Thank you for your trust.
