Stepping up for a cause: Millbrook employees walk for brain cancer support

Millbrook Healthcare employees are coming together for Millbrook Marching for Cancer (MM4C), a treadmill-based charity walk organised by Jayne Green from the Procurement Team in Totton. This initiative aims to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity by covering nearly 392 miles – the equivalent distance from Lands’ End to Dover. The team hopes to surpass the £1,350 raised during their previous charity walk, building on the spirit of giving that defines Millbrook.

Jayne’s motivation for leading this effort comes from a shared understanding of how cancer affects so many lives. “We all know the mental and physical benefits of exercise, and it’s a brilliant way to raise money – setting a challenge and encouraging people to sponsor us,” she said. This collective effort exemplifies the positive energy and unity among Millbrook employees, emphasising that impactful change starts with individuals who care.

The MM4C campaign is part of a larger culture of charitable work at Millbrook. Recently, Adam our Systems Accountant undertook a challenge to do 3,000 press-ups (100 a day) to raise important funds for Cancer Research UK. These initiatives underscore Millbrook’s commitment to making a difference beyond professional care services by supporting the communities we work with.

We invite everyone to support MM4C and join us in championing positive change. To contribute or learn more, visit the MM4C fundraising page. Every step and donation counts in the fight against cancer.
