The Peace and Hope Trust

Millbrook Healthcare supports The Peace and Hope Trust to deliver lifesaving equipment worldwide

For more than 30 years, The Peace and Hope Trust has been transforming lives in some of the world’s poorest communities. From building small schools and clinics in Nicaragua, Romania and the Philippines, to sending medical volunteers to remote regions, their work ensures vital care reaches those who need it most.

A key part of their mission is rescuing surplus hospital beds, wheelchairs, mobility aids, and medical equipment from across the UK, giving these items a second life overseas. On average, the Trust ships five containers of essential equipment every year, providing hope where resources are scarce.

More recently, the Trust has also been helping in Ukraine, partnering with NGOs to deliver medical supplies to war-affected areas.

Millbrook Healthcare is proud to support this life-changing work. Our Powys team has been a generous provider of surplus equipment, ensuring that items no longer needed locally continue to serve patients abroad. From clinics in the Philippines to hospitals in Romania, these donations are making a real difference.

In their own words, The Peace and Hope Trust shared how much this support means to them:

“Without our association with Millbrook Healthcare and other providers, we would not be able to undertake this work. Such generosity helps us to make a difference to the healthcare of disadvantaged people many thousands of miles away.”

At Millbrook Healthcare, we are committed not only to supporting people in the UK but also to ensuring our resources go further, reaching vulnerable communities across the world.
