Train-the-Trainer

Building skills and strengthening teams

At Millbrook Healthcare we believe that sharing knowledge is an act of care. Our latest Train the Trainer programme at PETA brought that belief to life, uniting Lead Driver Technicians from across Community Equipment Services for an energising three-day learning experience.

What the three days covered

  1. Senior Leadership Team engagement session
Feedback and ideas flowed freely, shaping the future of our training offer.
  2. Face-to-face Level 1 Safeguarding workshop
Ensuring every participant is confident in fulfilling safeguarding responsibilities.
  3. Two full days of Train the Trainer development
Equipping our leads with the tools and confidence to pass best practice on to others.

Why it mattered

  • Stronger connections
Attendees cited the value of meeting peers and “feeling heard.”
  • Better outcomes
Skilled trainers multiply expertise across service centres, speeding safe, right-first-time deliveries.
  • Continuous improvement
Insights gathered will directly inform future sessions.

A heartfelt thank-you

Thank you to PETA for hosting a well-structured programme – and to every Lead Driver Technician whose enthusiasm keeps professional development at the heart of Millbrook Healthcare.

We are already planning a follow-up session to complete remaining actions and keep our training fit for purpose, co-produced with our teams, and led by experts.

Because We Care – and learning together makes us stronger for the people we serve.
